Delivering on the ESG agenda, PROGRESS producing the FrutoNyanya brand refuses plastic straws for drinking yoghurts, thus reducing its plastic footprint by ~11 tons annually.
Abandoning plastic straws is a milestone in FrutoNyanya’s sustainability journey. Back in 2020, PROGRESS rejected straws for the 0.5L packs of FrutoNyanya beverages for kids — juice, mors and nectars. The latest move will make the packaging for drinking yoghurts more environmentally friendly. The strawless bottles are already on the shelves.
“Today many companies are trying to deploy a green approach to their products. PROGRESS is no exception. We challenge our packaging solutions to understand which attributes have a real functional value. While giving up straws will not affect the convenience, it is another step we take towards conscious and environmentally friendly consumption,” Evgenia Ermakova, Head of Strategic Business Transformation at PROGRESS, comments on the initiative.
In 2021, the Company announced it would reject pink bottles for water switching to transparent plastic.
