The halal range from FrutoNyanya is represented by three meat purees: “Lamb,” “Beef,” and “Chicken and Beef,” all of which were subject to a special halal certification process.
“Russia is traditionally a multi-confessional country. Demonstrating respect and loyalty to all our consumer groups is important for us. Special attention is paid to food for young children. This is why offering a product made to the halal standard was important for us,” commented Anna Ivanova, Marketing Director at PROGRESS. “By offering our young consumers healthy and nutritious baby food based on centuries-old traditions belonging to the cultures of different nations, FrutoNyanya plans to strengthen its position in the meat segment in the regions where representatives of other faiths are present as well as to expand the sales geography of our products.”
JSC PROGRESS installed the necessary equipment at the Lipetsk plant, introduced production control for the use of raw materials with the halal certificate, while personnel of the enterprise had special training to work at a halal baby food line.
“We are happy to know that the PROGRESS Company has announced the launch of the Halal baby food for young children under the FrutoNyanya brand. The plant has created all the conditions to ensure the production of high-quality and safe products for young children, which meets the halal standard,” comments Aidar Gabdullovich Gazizov, head of the International Halal Certification Centre.
FrutoNyanya’s products are now sold not only in Russia, but also in other Islamic nations including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan.
