In a cozy living room, Konstantin Khabensky and other guests read several stories written by the young authors, talked about the dreams and miracles in their lives and emphasized the project uniqueness.
Konstantin Khabensky, founder of the Khabensky Foundation/People's Artist: “The boys and girls who are supported by the Foundation are the real experts in miracles. They sincerely enjoy the simple things and see magic that we as adults pass by. Who, if not them, would write a book about an extraordinary ordinary miracle? The children in our Foundation struggle with difficulties every day and steadfastly go through the uneasy treatment and rehabilitation. It has been our long-time idea to find an unusual way to give them some positive emotions and distracting them from worries. We are extremely glad to have implemented such a unique initiative that our children really needed giving them a chance to feel like true writers.”
12 stories written by the children are published in the An Extraordinary Ordinary Miracle collection together with the narrations by Ludmila Ulitskaya, Ludmila Petrushevskaya, Narine Abgarian, Marina Stepnova, Alexander Tsipkin, Dina Rubina, Sergei Lukyanenko and others.
Natalia Medunova, CEO at PROGRESS producing the FrutoNyanya brand: “We are extremely pleased to support the amazing initiative launched by the Khabensky Foundation. A book where children and professional writers talk about the simple joys of life has become a real miracle. It reminds all of us how important it is to discern goodness, especially in the most challenging periods of our life.”
All the young authors from the Foundation will receive prizes from FrutoNyanya.
An Extraordinary Ordinary Miracle published by AST Publisher is on sale from December 14. Those who followed the live stream could win a book by posting a comment about what a miracle meant to them.
Ekaterina Kozhanova, Strategic Communications Director at Exmo AST Publisher: “This story began when Narine Abgarian, who discussed the idea with the Khabensky Foundation, called Alexander Prokopovich, our Chief Editor. We have been happy to bring this idea to life together with the Konstantin Khabensky Charitable Foundation and Alexander Tsipkin, our famous writer. The joint efforts of the young talented writers from the Khabensky Foundation, such brilliant authors as Luudmila Ulitskaya, Ludmila Petrushevskaya, Sergei Lukyanenko and others, our publishing house and the Foundation resulted in a truly worthy book, which has become an extraordinary ordinary miracle for those who need help. Our publishing house will donate 40 rubles from each sold book to the Khabensky Foundation.”
