International Conference “Autism. Challenges and Solutions” is devoted to a wide range of issues related to childhood autism and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). This is a large-scale event that unites parents, teachers, psychologists, and representatives of the healthcare system, as well as experts and doctors from all over the world. PROGRESS JSC has traditionally acted as a partner of the scientific conference in the session on the organization of nutrition for children with ASD.
One of the blocks of the conference program was devoted to children’s nutrition, eating habits and peculiarities of eating behavior of children with autism. It is known that children with ASD are very selective in nutrition and often prefer foods with high carbohydrate content. Thus, they often lack vitamins D, B12, C, calcium, and zinc. The deficiency of nutrients has a negative effect on health.
