As part of the sustainable development strategy, PROGRESS JSC continues to improve the environmental friendliness of packaging solutions for baby food products. Previously, manufacturer of the FrutoNanny brand has already stopped producing drinking yoghurts with plastic tubes, and also refused to produce bottled water from pink plastic in favor of transparent option. Now, instead of traditional caps on the packaging of children’s drinks with a volume of 500 ml, a convenient tube and a window closed with foil will appear in the combined package.
“We are making small changes to the packaging and are steadily moving towards our goal that is to minimize the ecological footprint and try to preserve the nature of the country for future generations. At the same time, we are doing everything possible to ensure that our product remains as convenient as possible for the consumer,” comments Evgenia Ermakova, Head of the Strategic Business Transformation at PROGRESS JSC.
The weight of the plastic lid is noticeably greater than the weight of the tube. A small change in packaging allows for reducing the proportion of plastic by 80%, and the usual format with a tube is convenient for walking and has long been loved by children and adults.
