Among the participants of the gala-matches of the Night Hockey League were President Putin and legends of Russian hockey including the multiple Olympic champions and world champions who are on the Board of the NHL: Alexander Yakushev, Sergei Makarov, Yuri Lyapkin, Vladimir Myshkin, Pavel Bure, Valery Kamensky, Andrey Kovalenko, Alexey Kasatonov and others; as well as prominent state, political and public figures, businessmen and entrepreneurs, and the best representatives of the strongest amateur teams performing in the Final of the Festival.
This year the festival was attended by a record number of hockey fans from all over Russia - 142 teams from 68 regions, more than 3,000 people.
