PROGRESS JSC, together with the Yevgeny Maksimovich Primakov Charitable Foundation, has successfully completed the large-scale humanitarian program "Embrace with Care". The project covered ten regions of our country: Tomsk, Oryol, Kursk, Kaluga, Bryansk, Ivanovo, Yaroslavl, Voronezh, and Tula regions, as well as the Stavropol Territory.
The main beneficiaries of the program were large families with children who were in a difficult life situation. The children received high-quality specialized nutrition, Infany baby formula, which was developed specifically for each age group. The distribution of the products was organized in close cooperation with regional social services and NPO activists, ensuring the timely delivery of necessary goods to families in need of support.
The relevance of the project is due to the acute social demand for support for the timely and sustainable development of children under the age of three, as this is the most critical and formative age, minimizing the impact of negative external factors on a child's development.
As part of the project, the Kursk and Kaluga regions received the most support, with 151,800 and 150,300 cans, respectively. Families in the Bryansk (56,500 cans) and Tomsk (84,000 cans) regions also received significant assistance. 35,100 cans were transferred to the Stavropol Territory, 17,600 cans to the Ivanovo and Yaroslavl Regions, 17,500 cans to the Tula Region, 17,400 cans to the Oryol Region, and 7,700 cans to the Voronezh Region. A total of 241,738 children received assistance as part of the humanitarian initiative.
"First of all, we are grateful to PROGRESS, with whom we have been working closely for five years, for this opportunity to provide care to such a large number of children from families in need. Our beneficiaries are always children from the most vulnerable and disadvantaged segments of society. Any support they receive is invaluable. The territorial chambers of commerce and industry and regional businesses made a significant contribution to the implementation of the technical part of the project. They took on the task of solving logistical issues, as the project's geography included settlements that are several thousand kilometers away from the manufacturer," said Leonid Romanov, General Director of the Primakov Charitable Foundation.
The collaboration between businesses and non-profit organizations (NPOs) plays a crucial role in achieving important social goals set by the government, as it allows for a comprehensive integration of efforts and resources to effectively address pressing issues. Supporting young families with young children is a priority for both the private sector and public initiatives, contributing to the strengthening of the family institution and improving the quality of life for the population. This collaboration is made possible by a shared responsibility towards society and a recognition of the importance of long-term investments in human capital. The implementation of joint projects is aimed at creating conditions that allow young parents to combine childcare with professional activities, ensuring a balance between work and family.
The "Hugging through caring" project helps families with young children. Special attention is paid to large families, families in need, families with disabled children, and residents of border regions. The initiative aims to provide children with high-quality nutrition and create conditions for their healthy and harmonious development.
"The project shows how much can be done when businesses, charities, and social services come together to achieve common goals. For families going through a difficult time, this support is not just assistance, but a tangible sign of attention and care," said Kristina Buvalik, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at PROGRESS JSC.
The program continues the tradition of cooperation between manufacturers and the charity sector, helping families to receive vital goods when and where they are most needed. The project was implemented as part of the key areas of the National Program for Supporting Fertility and Family Well-Being, including the implementation of the National Projects "Family" and "Healthcare," which are aimed at improving the living standards of Russians and improving the demographic situation in the country.
