The implementation of optimization within the framework of the national project “Labor Productivity” at the Lipetsk PROGRESS plant has been completed. For six months, the production of fruit and vegetable puree in the baby food workshop has been optimized here.
The experts of the Regional Competence Center trained a working group that was engaged in the implementation of lean production tools. After the introduction of standards, the production time of the batch of mashed potatoes decreased by 38%, and production increased by more than 10% per shift. “The working group proved to be highly qualified specialists. The company has trained two internal lean manufacturing instructors. Representatives of the working group plan to continue project activities to improve the use of lean production tools,” the RCC experts noted.
“To increase productivity means to reduce unnecessary operations, optimize the production process, and identify errors that slow down work. I am glad that Lipetsk enterprises realize the benefits of participating in the national project and join it,” said the Governor of the Lipetsk Region Igor Artamonov.
